Novomatic Games and Casinos
Novomatic Group has been around for some 35 years. During this period, Novomatic has established itself as one of the leading names in the online gambling industry. With offices in nearly 50 countries, they are the name that every player and operator are aware of.
Although they’ve been in the business for a long time, the Austrian company found a way to keep up with the times and changes. They remained relevant over the years, with their games still being beloved by the players.
One thing Novomatic has going for them is a tradition. The company started out developing casino games for land-based venues in Europe. This is how players became used to their titles. Today, even though some of their slots may seem outdated, many online players seem to enjoy them. Playing Novomatic classics provides them with a familiar feeling. This is one of the best things a casino can offer to its players.
Although they are not as popular as they once were, there are still many online casinos offering Novomatic games. Many land-based casinos in Europe also offer numerous slots by this provider on their floors.

Novomatic History
The company was founded in 1980, in Austria, by Professor Johann F. Graf. Novomatic started off strong, expanding their business to Germany, France, Switzerland, and Netherlands within the first year of their existence.
In 1988, Novomatic expanded to South Africa. A couple of years later they became the first do deliver a full range of casino equipment to the country. In 1991, the company continued to grow, opening the largest casino in the Czech Republic.
By 1993, Novomatic has had business dealings with more than 30 countries worldwide. To keep up with the demand, the company established new subsidiaries in Norway, Poland, Estonia, Botswana, and Namibia.
The year of 1997 was a big one for Novomatic Group. They presented their first multiplayer machines, allowing up to 250 players to join a live roulette game at the same time. The company took advantage of modern technologies to make this possible. The development was a real revolution in gambling.
UK License
In 2001, Novomatic received its license to operate in the UK. The same year, they also presented their Novo Multi-Roulette and Novo TouchBet Roulette at ICE 2001. This gave the company access to a majority of casinos in Europe. They improved their overseas presence as well.
In 2005, the company marked the record annual turnover, exceeding €1 billion for the first time. This was an important milestone for Novomatic. It was a clear proof their expansion and development strategy was working.
Over the next decade, the company continued to grow, receiving many prestigious awards along the way. Novomatic made its mark on nearly all the continents, including the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Africa. During recent years, the company’s position in the market became even more established. One proof of this position was Novomatic’s booth at ICE Totally Gaming 2015. It was the largest-ever single booth created for a gaming expo.
