G2E Asia
The American Gaming Association presents the annual Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2 Asia), targeting the growing Asian gaming industry. It’s like the more significant American part hosted by Reed Exhibition. In 2006, the Macau gambling industry surpassed Las Vegas in total gaming revenue. Global Gaming Expo Acquired the Asian Gaming Expo from the Australian gaming machine maker and announced that it would repeat the annual event as G2E Asia.
G2E has held the expo every year since 2019. The conference began at the Macau Tower on June 13–14, 2007. In 2012, G2E Asia expanded its reach with the announcement of G2E Asia, the inaugural exhibition in the Philippines. The organizers then chose Marriott Manila, part of Resorts World Manila Integrated Resort, as the venue for the new event.
G2E Asia 2021
Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia will return to the Venetian Macao on August 17-19, 2021. Held in May, the August conference will give exhibitors and attendees more time to plan for their participation in light of the ongoing COVID-19-related trade and travel restrictions. Through ongoing consultations with G2E’s stakeholders and the Macau government, the Reed Exhibition and the American Gaming Association have determined the number of issues.
This August event will provide the best opportunity to showcase the heights of educational content and create a valuable market for our industry from G2E Asia. The company is looking forward to uniting the gaming community in G2E Asia. They are going to recover this industry from the destructive effects of COVID-19. It is also learned that G2E Asia will share additional details of the August event as soon as they become available. The G2E Asia 2021 Online Expo and Conference will be held online on May 25, 2021. First Global Gaming Expo Event
The Global Gaming Expo was first held on October 1–3, 2001, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It was attended by 375 corporate exhibitors, about 10,000 attendees, and VIP keynote speakers. Also in attendance were Academy Award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg and Chairman and CEO of MGM Studios Alex Yemenidjian. In previous years, LVCC was the World Gaming Congress and Expo (WGCE) site of JM Communications.
It maintained a partnership with the AGA and was unrivaled as a major conference of this industry. After failing to renew its contract with GEM in 2000, AGA chose to launch G2E. Six months after the opening of the Global Gaming Expo, AGA bought the WGCE, setting up G2E as the largest exhibition in North America for the gaming entertainment industry. In 2010, the AGA announced that “the tenth annual expo will be the last at LVCC before going to the privately-owned Sands Expo.”
Among the reasons for returning in early October was the AGA citing the need for “more breathing in major international gaming events.” G2E’s educational sessions run from Monday to Thursday, and an expo hall open from Tuesday to Thursday. Hundreds of exhibitors showcase products and services at the Expo Hall. Since 2013, its annual total show attendance has consistently peaked at 25,000. Also, it was recognized as one of the 25 fastest-growing trade shows in 2017 with a G2E presence.
